Religious groups gathered at City Hall today to support City Councilman Fernando Cabrera’s bill that he introduced to the City Council today supporting a NY State bill which would reverse the NYC policy banning the renting of public schools for religious worship services.A few days earlier senior city lawyer for NYC released a statement declaring “Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, is the last day that churches and other groups can use the schools for worship.”
