Music Director Raul Diaz keeps the church's sound modern by using modern arrangements of traditional songs and incorporating contemporary worship like Hillsong.

 

Doris's daughters Sarah and P:olly lead the choir with worship songs and the occasional cha-cha step. "It started as a joke with friends, because our pastor dances," Sarah explains.

 

 

Fellowship downstairs for coffee, lunch, and fellowship. Today, potato mash and Italian sub bread with melted cheese and a slice of ham. The church who eats together stays together!

Iglesia Bautista Central (Central Baptist Church) is 82 years old. Its services are now held at 35 Starr St. in IS 347  (Entrance Starr st. & Wilson). A new church is being built within an apartment building at its original location at 260 Knickerbocker Avenue adjacent to Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
